2021 Calendar and another Pinkies’ Project

I am a few hours later with this blog because I had a migraine that wiped me out for a day. I still have a lingering headache, but I was determined to get it out today 😀

Today’s project was another one that I had designed using the Snowflake Splendor paper, but as a Calendar is designed to last all year I didn’t want to use a Snowflake to decorate it, so went for a flower instead.

The second project from the Pinkies weekend that I am sharing, is from Martin Stone, who does some wonderful projects. Stampin’ Up have chosen Martin as one of the demonstrators featured in the 2020 artisan design team. You can visit Martin’s page at Martin’s Mayhem – Papercrafter. As you probably know I love a messy craft and this one was no exception. I had great fun with it.

Today, I have a card that combines the Curvy Dies with the beautiful Snowflake Splendor Suite. The papers are beautiful and I love the mix of blues and purples. This was one card based on the suite that I had designed for a class which sadly didn’t go ahead.

This weekend I took part in the Pinkies Team Weekend and over the next few posts I will be sharing some of the amazing projects that were created for us. Team leader Michelle Last put on an amazing weekend of crafting and chat (despite the fact that she was still recovering from Covid) and we all had a fabulous time. Today’s projects were designed by Kim Price. They are a beautiful Christmas organiser which contained a covered notepad, Christmas Card list and Christmas tags (I haven’t finished those yet) and a lovely wreath made with a polystyrene base and covered with strips of Designer Series Paper. I changed the colour of the wreath to match my decor as Kim’s used the same beautiful First Frost designer series paper as the organiser. Kim’s Christmas organiser had a beautiful snowglobe on the front, but unfortunately I realised I don’t have anything to go in a snowglobe 😢 I will definitely be making another organiser for Birthdays 😀 Please go and visit Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Kim Price (handmadebykim.co.uk) to see all her beautiful projects.

Until next time, happy crafting

Daisy Smile Card

Yesterday was the weekly shop, I don’t know why but it always leaves me exhausted and despite lugging it all the way uphill home (we don’t drive), I am not getting any fitter. This could be because Lockdown diet is not going well, I have no self control. This time I have portioned everyone’s snacks out so all the goodies are not sat there calling me. I will do this 😆

Today’s card is the only in-colour I haven’t really used, Cinnamon Cider. See even that makes me think of food, I love cinnamon. Maybe I need to start the day with cinnamon and apple porridge 😆

Ornate Garden Speciality Designer Series Paper – Annual Catalogue 2020/2021 page65 button_see-it-here

Base Card – Cinnamon Cider Cardstock 8 1/4” x 5 7/8” scored and folded @ 4 1/8”
1st Layer – Ornate Garden Designer Series Paper (DSP) 5 5/8” x 3 7/8”
2nd Layer – Very Vanilla Cardstock 5 3/8” x 3 5/8”
Inside Layer – Very Vanilla Cardstock 5 5/8” x 3 7/8”
Daisies – Scraps of Whisper White and So Saffron Cardstock

I love the way the Daisy Lane stamp set works so well, with this paper. If you buy the in-colour multipack Cardstock, you could do the daisies in Bumble Bee to match the DSP, but I preferred the lighter yellow for my daisies and as I don’t yet have the new in-colour blends I was able to use the So Saffron Blend for the inside of my white daisy.

Don’t forget, you can still take advantage of the  Bonus Days offer. For each £45/60 € you spend between 1st July – 3rd August, you will get a £4.50/6,00  € coupon to spend between 4-31st August. There are no limits on how many coupons you can earn.

Until next time, happy crafting
